Joint Symposia on Optics

Location: Online Presentation Using Zoom Webinar or Meeting
The symposium is designed to leverage the relationship between OSJ, JSAP (The Japan Society of Applied Physics), and with the addition of Optical Societies. The symposia will provide a joint international forum for exchange. The two topic tracks for 2021 are Applied Optics and Optical Science, which will explore the latest advances of the technologies. The symposium consists of the invited presentations and contributed presentations.
The goal of the symposium is to create a global forum for leading researchers to present their latest work and to hear the most up-to-date results in scientific subjects and related new technologies in the fields of Applied Optics and Optical Science. The topics of two fields are described below.
We hope that this joint endeavor will provide scientific and professional networking as well as scientific inspiration to the attendees.
Presentation
For oral presenters:
Invited papers: 25-minute presentation and 5-minute Q&A
Contributed papers: 10-minute presentation and 5-minute Q&A
Please give your presentation at Zoom address notified later from OPJ2021 Office.
For poster presenters:
Please give the flash talk (2-min short presentation) at Zoom meeting in order, then move to your Zoom breakout room to perform further presentation and Q&A to the visitors.
We will ask you to upload the slide data of the 2-min flash talk to the server, which will be notified later from OPJ2021 Office.
OPJ2021 staff will perform the slide sharing during the flash talks, using the uploaded slides.
Please prepare the normal slides (no need to be the large poster) for your presentation at your Zoom breakout room.

Paper Submission
・OSJ/OSA Student Award for the joint symposia. The applicant should be a student member of
OSJ, JSPA, or OSA. You can apply for the award during the paper submission.
・OSJ and JSAP members and student members are invited to participate by submitting
a paper and the received abstract will be reviewed and considered for oral or poster
presentations.
・All contributed papers should be submitted on the OPJ2021 website. Paper submission site
will open July 2nd.
・All presentations in the Joint Symposia on Optics must be in English or Japanese.
・Abstract registration and paper submission:
・Abstract deadline (100 words abstract and title) : 2 August, 2021
・Summary deadline (A4 format, 1 pagev): 2 Semtepber, 2021
